James' Place@Pontmorlais offers individually and creatively styled self-catering studios. They are ideally placed for exploring the Brecon Beacons, climbing Pen-Y-Fan or visiting Bike Park Wales amongst many of the other great activities in the area or for working away from home. They are right in the town centre so a minutes walk from restaurants, cafes, the main train and bus station..
Studio 8 - Thum
Self Catered Studios

Thum sleeps 2 people in a double bed with fresh clean linen provided. We are delighted to be dog firendly and provide a welcome pack for your 4-legged friend. We are also bike friendly so if you need to you can bring clean bikes in the studio for safe storage. This studio is located on the 1st floor.
​
The studio has a Kitchenette with all the essentials including under-counter fridge, induction hob and microwave plus crockery, cutlery and utensils. For your arrival we provide a pint of milk and welsh cakes to welcome you to Wales.
There is an en-suite Shower-Room and we provide complimentary shower gel and shampoo and the towels required for your stay.

Studio 9 - Outside In
Self Catered Studios
This new Studio has been individually created in James' Places unique style to bring The Outside In !! We are pleased to welcome families as there are adult sized bunk beds in the studio as well as a double bed made up with the softest linen. In addition, the double bed can be converted to 2 x singles. If you want this bed configuration it must be requested and there is a small fee for doing this. When booking you must select the twin option. The studio has free superfast broadband and a Smart TV.
Also, you can bring your dog to accompany you on your stay with prior arrangement. There is a small charge for this service. We do provide a surprise Welcome Pack to help them settle in..
The kitchenette has all the basics needed with an induction hob, microwave, fridge, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils etc plus a breakfast bar and stools to eat at.
There is also a new modern ensuite shower room.
We also supply foc shower gel and shampoo plus some Welsh Cakes and 1 pint of milk to welcome you to Wales and to get you stay started.
Studio 10 - Ianto
Self Catered Studios
Ianto is a fresh light airy studio on the 2nd floor at the front of the property.​

There is a comfortable bed that can be made up as a King or 2 singles, depending on your preference. For the bed configuration as 2 singles you will need to book the studio as a twin. Fresh linen and towels are all supplied. ​

The kitchenette is kitted out with an induction hob, microwave, under-counter fridge, kettle and toaster. There are also saucepans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware to cover your basic cooking needs. ​
​
There is a modern en-suite shower room and we provide towels plus complimentary shower gel and shampoo.​
​
The studio has free superfast broadband and a SMART TV so you can access Freeplay, Netflix or Prime TV with your own account. There is also a steamer to get any wrinkles out of your clothes and a hair dryer for your convenience.​
​
We are pleased to say we our child and dog friendly. If you wish to bring you dog please let us know. There is a small charge for this service.​
​
On your arrival there will be a pint of milk in the fridge and some Welsh cakes to try to welcome you to Wales plus complimentary tea and coffee.
Studio 11 - Brynach

Studio 11 - Brychan is located on the 2nd floor at the rear of the building and can sleep 2 adults in a king sized bed and 2 children on the sofa bed. If required the king bed can be split into 2 x single beds but this must be specifically requested. All linen is provided.

The studio comprises of an open plan living/sleeping area, kitchenette and ensuite shower room. Ir can only be accessed by stairs. It is a self check-in from 3pm on the day of arrival and check out is by 10am.
​
The kitchenette has under counter fridge, induction hob, microwave, kettle plus the pans, crockery, glassware, cutlery and utensils needed for cooking..
For the ensuite shower room we provide soft fluffy towels, complimentary shower gel and shampoo
​
The open plan sleeping/living area has a dining table & chairs, SMART TV and free super fast broadband.
​
We have the advantage of being dog friendly for a small charge of £20 per dog per stay,
